Initial Wellness Consult recovery, day by day
After your visit
- Review the plan from your visit while it is fresh, and note any questions for your care team.
- If labs were ordered, schedule them soon; your plan is tuned from those results.
- Use the medication plan on your current prescription labels and written visit summary. Contact the clinic before making changes.
Getting started
- Contact your clinic about new, worsening, or concerning symptoms after a medication or hormone change. Do not assume a reaction is expected unless your clinician told you it is.
- Track how you feel, energy, sleep, mood in a simple note so your follow-up visit has real data to work with.
- Reach out to the clinic rather than stopping a medication on your own if something feels off.
Follow-up and adjustments
- Keep your scheduled follow-up so your clinician can review your response and any repeat labs.
- Consistency beats intensity: the plan works when the basics, sleep, movement, nutrition happen most days.
When to call your provider or 911
- •Call 911 now if you notice: Chest pain, shortness of breath, or one-sided leg swelling
- •Call your care team today if you notice: Severe headache or sudden vision changes
- •Call your care team today if you notice: Signs of an allergic reaction to a new medication, rash, hives, swelling
When in doubt, call your clinic. For a medical emergency, call 911.
