After the Adjustment
- Your bite may feel different; this is the new, correct position
- Mild sensitivity for 1-2 days is normal
- If sensitivity persists beyond 3-5 days, call for reevaluation
Monitoring
- Brush and floss normally; no restrictions
- Your jaw muscles may feel slightly fatigued as they adapt
- Note any areas that feel high when biting down
- Follow up if bite doesn't feel natural within a week
When to call your provider or 911
- •Call your care team today if you notice: Severe pain when biting after the adjustment
- •Call your care team today if you notice: Tooth becomes very sensitive to hot or cold that worsens
- •Call your care team today if you notice: Jaw pain or clicking that wasn't present before the adjustment
