What to expect
Treatment Adherence

- Attend all lab appointments to monitor treatment response
- Viral load and CD4 count are key markers; your team will track these
- Practice good hand hygiene and infection prevention
- Report any fever, new symptoms, or worsening condition immediately
When to call your provider or 911
- •Call your care team today if you notice: High fever, above 102°F or chills/rigors
- •Call your care team today if you notice: Severe allergic reaction to medication
- •Call your care team today if you notice: IV/PICC line: redness, swelling, pain, or fever, line infection
- •Call your care team today if you notice: Rapidly worsening symptoms despite treatment
- •Call 911 now if you notice: New rash, confusion, or difficulty breathing
When in doubt, call your clinic. For a medical emergency, call 911.
